I do usually find myself with a bit too many torches on long runs actually, hehe.
Oh, I should note the list I made is what I go with, I know supplies varies from person to person. Since these 2 attacks are ones you'll probably be using a lot, this means you can easily exit a fight with more light than you started. All of the Torches (athough this tileset is set on 100 light at all times, the torch gives you an accuracy bonus of +4. All of the food (plus always pick up any additional food you find, you will need it). Her stun skill also gives you +5 torchlight, and I think her other good offensive spell (the zappy one that also heals her) lights the torch too. But overall, I think this is usually the safest and cheapest. Shovels are super finicky, since even in a medium dungeon you can have in between 1 to 4 blockades if you are (un)lucky. If you have a Vestal you can probably save on torches, and food can be kinda saved on by bringing medical herbs to the weald/warrens and using it on cadavers.
